Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!
Much to be thankful for.
A family, a boyfriend, school, friends.
My list could go on, but I realize how blessed I am even in the small things.

Finals

Yes, it is almost 1:30 in the ol' am.

Have so far finished all in-class final exams and am in the middle of 2 take home finals which entail 8 mini essay questions for secondary instrumental music and an orchestration project.

Not to mention I'm playing catchup with the other 4 projects for that darned class as well as a paper due for Music History wherein I have no sources because our library blows.

No matter, I am here in ol' SV until Saturday. I have two more shows for the play I'm in Fri and Sat night, so until Friday by 3:30 when I have to check out, I will be doing take-home finals and catch-up homework crap.

I love Arrested Development.

Rainy Day

Christmas lights hanging around the room, rain outside my window, Vince Guaraldi in the background...

I needed this right now.

Thank God juries are over, musicianship finals are done and piano recital was a success.

Help me get through this.

I feel...

It sucks when you can't taste Thanksgiving dinner because you're sick. It's awesome when you can spend Thanksgiving break with the one you love. I love Chris Clayton.

3 weeks of school left = 1 week of regular classes, 1 week "dead week", then finals week.

Also, Merry Christmas, Brent Spudley opens this Friday, 8pm with a free showing on Thursday night for all Bethany students, fac and staff.

I feel wierd. I don't know what it is and I don't like it. I just feel...strange.

Like/Love/Can't live without

Just thinking...

I like:
that I stopped biting my nails
my new makeup, Bare Essentials
that the weather is finally changing

I love:
friends that are always there to listen
that Thanksgiving is almost here
that I get to pick Chris up from the airport tomorrow

I can't live without:
music
Chris
Jesus

A Day in the Life

Well, I am a student of Music. Music Education, that is, and let me make that very clear.
11 classes this semester, which is rather normal, all equaling out to 17 units. Also, very normal for me to take on that many units. I want to graduate in four years, gosh darn it.

The biggest stresser of all is that my boyfriend of two years, 6 months and 15 days is in the Army and we want to get MARRIED already. Is that too much to ask? I'm not even too sure of the answer to that question because I'm the one putting the breaks on, saying "I need to finish school first, only a year and half more!" But who am I kidding? Another year and a half of 17 units and 11 classes each semester might drive me loony. Maybe I do want to get married this summer...

Some to questions to ponder. To pray about and seek God's will in. All I know is that something has got to shift. I'm feeling...well, I don't even know what I'm feeling, it's all so strange. Unsettled? Or maybe this feeling is peace in the middle of the storm. Maybe I don't know what true peace feels like, so when I finally have it I don't realize it and it feels awkward to me.

I'm in love with you

Nickel Creek

You got to leave me now, you got to go alone
You got to chase a dream, one that's all your own
Before it slips away
When you're flyin' high, take my heart along
I'll be the harmony to every lonely song
That you learn to play

When you're soarin' through the air
I'll be your solid ground
Take every chance you dare
I'll still be there
When you come back down
When you come back down

I'll keep lookin' up awaitin' your return
My greatest fear will be that you will crash and burn
And I won't feel your fire
I'll be the other hand that always holds the line
Connectin' in between your sweet heart and mine
I'm strung out on that wire

And I'll be on the other end
To hear you when you call
Angel, you were born to fly
And if you get too high I'll catch you when you fall
I'll catch you when you fall

Your memory's the sunshine every new day brings
I know the sky is calling
Angel, let me help you with your wings

When you're soarin' through the air
I'll be your solid ground
Take every chance you dare
I'll still be there
When you come back down
Take every chance you dare
I'll still be there
When you come back down
When you come back down

My life song right now.
